HTC One Mini leaked by O2 alongside larger HTC One Max

HTC looks set to follow in Samsung’s footsteps and create a number of spinoffs iterations of its flagship phone, with the HTC One Mini leaking via an O2 roadmap alongside a larger HTC One Max.

With the HTC One arguably the best smartphone on the market right now, the Taiwanese manufacturer looks intent on capitalising on this popular branding, with smaller and larger spinoffs of the flagship phone being teased by the German arm of network giant O2.

Samsung has already paved the way in producing numerous variations of its flagship phone, with the Samsung Galaxy S4 having been joined by the 4.3-inch Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, waterproof Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and 10x optical zoom camera hosting Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.

According to latest reports, an internal O2 roadmap has seen the much rumoured HTC One Mini tipped for arrival in both silver and black colour schemes. Suggesting HTC could also look to target the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, a phablet themed HTC One Max has also been listed for release. At present HTC has yet to officially acknowledge the existence of either device.

HTC One Mini Rumours

Long tipped for arrival, HTC One Mini rumours have suggested the mooted handset will be cut from similar cloth as last year’s Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, pairing a reduced form factor styled on its flagship sibling with a reduced array of specs and a lower price point, all targeting the mid-range smartphone market.

Recent HTC One Mini rumours have suggested the handset will drop from the One’s 4.7-inch form to an S4 Mini rivalling 4.3-inchs, going from a 1080p Full HD display to a 720p HD screen along the way.

Further reports have claimed the HTC One Mini spec will see a dual-core processor come into the fray alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. With the HTC One’s 4-ultrapixel rear-mounted camera tipped to make the jump, Mini, the smaller smartphone is set to feature a brushed aluminium form like its big brother.

While less it known about the mooted HTC One Max, it has been suggested the oversized phone will run a 5.9-inch Full HD display and a 2.3GHZ CPU.
